For the second time in a week, Nigeria’s national electricity grid collapsed on Thursday morning, causing widespread power outages across the country. The latest collapse, which occurred around 11:28 a.m., marks the 10th time this year that the grid has failed, raising concerns over the stability and reliability of Nigeria’s power infrastructure.

The repeated grid failures have disrupted daily life and business operations nationwide, adding to frustrations over Nigeria’s longstanding energy challenges. This series of blackouts has prompted calls for urgent reforms and investments to improve grid stability and enhance electricity supply.

Authorities have yet to provide details on the cause of the latest collapse or a timeline for restoring power.
