NNPC Releases Estimated Pump Prices for Petrol from Dangote Refinery Based on September 2024 Pricing

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has announced the estimated pump prices for Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, sourced from the Dangote Refinery for September 2024. These prices will be applied at NNPC retail stations across the country.

In a statement, NNPC Ltd emphasized that under the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), PMS prices are not government-set but are negotiated directly between the relevant parties. The NNPC further disclosed that payments to the Dangote Refinery for September 2024 offtake were made in USD, with Naira-based transactions set to commence on October 1, 2024.

The company also stated its commitment to passing any potential price discounts from the Dangote Refinery directly to consumers. The estimated pump prices, based on September pricing, are attached to the statement and reflect current market dynamics.

NNPC Ltd reassured the public of transparency in the pricing process, promising to keep consumers informed of any future changes.
