The Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Mr Bayo Ojulari, has reaffirmed the company’s commitment to achieving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to boost the nation’s crude oil output to at least two million barrels per day and up to three million barrels per day by the year 2030.
Speaking to journalists after briefing the President at the State House on the company’s performance, Mr Ojulari said NNPCL has made significant progress in ramping up production and stabilizing output across key oil assets.
“Mr President gave us a clear mandate, which is to grow production to at least two million barrels per day, and up to three million barrels per day by 2030,” he stated. “We are already seeing positive results from ongoing reforms and new investments in the sector.”
Mr Ojulari also disclosed that Nigeria has recorded its highest gas production level, reaching about 7 billion cubic feet per day (7 BCF/d), a milestone that underscores the administration’s renewed focus on energy security and economic diversification.
He assured that NNPCL remains committed to driving transparency, efficiency, and growth across the oil and gas value chain in alignment with President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
