The Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Mrs. Oritsemeyiwa Eyesan, met earlier this week with the Honourable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Rt. Hon. Ekperikpe Ekpo.

During the meeting, Mrs. Eyesan reaffirmed the Commission’s commitment to advancing gas development and eliminating routine gas flaring. She also emphasized that under her leadership, NUPRC is fully aligned with the Federal Government’s vision to transform Nigeria into a gas-powered economy by 2030.

Mrs. Eyesan assumed leadership of NUPRC last month and has since underscored the importance of regulatory efforts to drive sustainable growth in Nigeria’s gas sector.
