Nvidia has officially released its latest robotics chip module, the Jetson AGX Thor, which the company describes as a “robot brain.” Priced at $3,499 as a developer kit, the new hardware is designed to power advanced robotics applications, with the first shipments scheduled to go out next month.
The Jetson AGX Thor is expected to give developers the tools to create sophisticated robots capable of handling complex tasks across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, and healthcare. Nvidia says the chip combines high-performance computing with advanced AI capabilities, enabling faster decision-making and more efficient automation.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has emphasized that robotics represents the company’s biggest growth opportunity outside of artificial intelligence. By expanding into robotics hardware, Nvidia is positioning itself at the forefront of a market projected to see explosive demand as industries worldwide adopt automation technologies.
