
A delegation from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), led by Carlos Conde, Head of the Middle East and Africa Division, met with Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, to deepen economic cooperation and explore strategic partnerships.The OECD reaffirmed its commitment to expanding engagement across Africa through collaborations with the African Union, regional blocs, and direct country-level partnerships, highlighting Nigeria as a key economic partner in West Africa.Discussions centered on Nigeria’s economic priorities, including capital market development, regional integration, combating illicit financial flows, promoting sustainable finance, and investing in human capital.
