The World Trade Organization (WTO) Director General, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, and the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III (CFR), will grace the assembly of legal experts as legal luminaries and other NBA members assemble in Lagos, the country’s commercial hub, for the 2024 NBA Annual General Conference. 

Ogiame Atuwatse III, the esteemed first-class royal father, is scheduled to speak at the Traditional Rulers Roundtable session on the subject of “Proposal for Integrating Traditional with the Contemporary in Justice.”

The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, according to material on the NBA website. Economist Okonjo-Iweala was the first female foreign affairs minister in Nigeria and the country’s first female finance minister, holding the position for seven years.

The 2024 Conference is scheduled for August 23–August 28, 2024, with the theme “Pressing Forward: A National Posture for Rebuilding Nigeria.” In addition to other stakeholders, it will be attended by other noteworthy individuals. 

Beyond the usual legal conference, the conference, according to NBA President Yakubu Maikyau (SAN), will broaden discussion and interconnectedness of different variables driving Nigeria’s advancement.
