Victor Osimhen, the Super Eagles and Napoli forward, has declined a move to Saudi Arabian club Al Ahli.
Osimhen, who signed a new contract in December 2023 with a release clause of €130 million effective this summer, has yet to receive an offer matching that amount.
Recent reports indicate that Al Ahli proposed €70 million for the Nigerian striker, which Napoli might have considered. However, football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano disclosed on Monday that Osimhen has turned down Al Ahli’s offer.
Romano stated: “Victor Osimhen is not accepting Al Ahli’s proposal as he demands a significant salary and the release clause. The release clause is essential, and without it, the deal will not proceed, sources confirm.”
Osimhen has been training apart from his Napoli teammates this summer and is anticipated to secure a transfer before the window closes.
