The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has dismissed reports claiming it held a meeting with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing the information as false and misleading.

In a statement issued on April 8, 2026, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Hon. Jungudo Haruna Mohammed, clarified that the PDP has not engaged in any formal or informal discussions with the ADC or its representatives. He emphasized that no such meeting was authorized by the party.

The PDP further stated that any individuals allegedly involved in such engagements acted in their personal capacities and should not be seen as representatives of the party.

The party urged its members, supporters, and the general public to disregard the claims, stressing that they do not reflect its official position or activities.

It also noted that preparations for its upcoming party primaries are progressing steadily, with details on timelines and guidelines to be announced soon.

The PDP reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening its internal processes and providing credible leadership for Nigerians.
