
The newly inaugurated National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, formally assumed office today at the party’s National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja.
Turaki arrived at the headquarters in the company of Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde and Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, both of whom expressed confidence in his ability to reposition the party and strengthen internal cohesion.
Addressing party leaders and supporters upon his arrival, the new Chairman emphasised unity, discipline, and a renewed commitment to democratic values as the pillars on which his administration will stand. He pledged to work closely with governors, stakeholders, and members across the country to restore the party’s electoral competitiveness ahead of future polls.
The event marks a significant step in the PDP’s ongoing reorganization efforts, as the party seeks stability and renewed direction under Turaki’s leadership.
