The Federal Capital Territory and Kaduna State Police Commands have launched special security deployments along the Abuja–Kaduna road corridor to enhance safety and restore public confidence among travellers. The operation targets the strategic highway, which has long been a source of concern due to security threats and criminal activities affecting commuters and commercial transporters.

The coordinated security exercise is jointly commanded by the Commissioners of Police of both commands, Miller Dantawaye of the FCT Police Command and Rabiu Muhammed of the Kaduna State Police Command. Officers have been deployed at critical points along the corridor, with increased patrols, intelligence-led operations and visible checkpoints aimed at deterring criminal elements and ensuring swift response to any security breach.

Authorities say the initiative is designed to reassure road users and sustain free movement between the two regions, as travellers are encouraged to cooperate with security personnel. With this renewed show of force and coordination, will commuters finally feel safe enough to travel the Abuja–Kaduna route without fear? Visit www.jocomms.com for more news stories
