Presidency Debunks Claims of AI-Generated Tinubu–Kagame Photo

Reports suggesting that the photograph of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and President Paul Kagame, taken in Paris on Sunday, was generated by artificial intelligence have been described as false and misleading.

Findings confirm that both leaders met in Paris and had lunch together earlier in the day. They later joined French President Emmanuel Macron for dinner the same evening.

The photograph in question was taken with a mobile phone and initially appeared in low resolution. It was subsequently enhanced using digital tools to improve image quality. This enhancement, however, does not make the image AI-generated.

Officials described claims to the contrary as a misrepresentation of facts, noting that due diligence would have clarified the issue before such conclusions were drawn.

The image is authentic and reflects a real engagement between the leaders in Paris.
