President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sworn in Tunji Disu as the 23rd Inspector-General of Police at the Council Chambers of the State House, Abuja.

The swearing-in ceremony marks a new leadership phase for the Nigeria Police Force, with the President charging the new Inspector-General to strengthen internal security, professionalism, and public trust in policing across the country.

Tunji Disu succeeds the outgoing police chief and is expected to consolidate ongoing reforms within the Force, enhance intelligence-driven policing, and improve collaboration with other security agencies in addressing emerging security challenges nationwide.
