President Julius Maada Bio Meets with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Strengthening Regional Security and Development

Abuja, Nigeria – The President of the Republic of Sierra Leone, His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, held a productive meeting with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Chairperson of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The discussions focused on regional security, peacebuilding, and the vital role of ECOWAS in promoting economic development and stability across West Africa. Both leaders emphasized the need for continued collaboration among member states to address shared challenges such as insecurity, economic growth, and democratic governance.

President Tinubu reaffirmed ECOWAS’ commitment to fostering peace and integration within the region, while President Bio commended Nigeria’s leadership in advancing the bloc’s collective vision of a peaceful and prosperous West Africa.
