President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, addressed delegates at the 4th Elective National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at Eagles Square, Abuja, emphasizing party unity, democratic governance, and the implementation of the “Renewed Hope Agenda.”

President Tinubu described the convention as a defining chapter for Nigeria’s democracy and the party, urging members to uphold the vision of the founding fathers and resist divisions driven by personal ambition. He called for a moment of silence to honor the late President Muhammadu Buhari and other departed party members.

Highlighting the APC’s achievements since assuming office in 2023, the President cited infrastructure development, modernization of seaports and airports, fiscal reforms, social investment programs, improved national security, and steady economic growth, including a decline in inflation and increased investor confidence. He also noted progress in the oil and gas sector and Nigeria’s exit from the FATF Grey List.

President Tinubu reaffirmed the party’s commitment to credible elections and democratic competition, stressing that APC is not seeking a one-party state. He emphasized youth and women’s participation in leadership as central to Nigeria’s future and called on delegates to conduct themselves with integrity during the convention.

He lauded the contributions of the Convention Planning Committee, Governors, Ministers, and other stakeholders for ensuring the event’s success. The President urged newly elected party officials to lead with humility, integrity, and vision, while sustaining the party’s growth and trust among Nigerians.

Concluding, President Tinubu prayed for God’s blessing on the APC and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
