President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has allocated 1,200 bags of rice to each minister across the country as part of ongoing relief efforts aimed at alleviating the impact of economic challenges on vulnerable communities. The rice distribution is intended to provide immediate support to those in need.
As part of this initiative, the Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, announced that the 1,200 bags of rice allocated to him by the Presidency will be distributed exclusively to the elderly in his state. Dr. Alake emphasized the importance of prioritizing senior citizens, who are among the most vulnerable in society.
“The 1,200 bags of rice provided by the Presidency as part of the relief effort will be distributed exclusively to the elderly. This is to ensure that those who are most in need of support receive it promptly,” Dr. Alake stated.
The federal government’s rice distribution initiative is part of a larger plan to mitigate the impact of inflation and rising food costs on the most disadvantaged members of society. By focusing on the elderly, the Minister aims to provide much-needed assistance to those who may be struggling to meet their basic needs.
President Tinubu’s administration has made addressing food security and economic relief a priority, with this allocation marking a step toward helping Nigerians cope with the current economic challenges.
