
Vice President Kashim Shettima has assured Nigerians in the Diaspora of active engagement in the policies and programmes of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, emphasizing that Nigeria is on the right path under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Speaking during a meeting with the Nigerian community in the United States, he commended their resilience and urged them to continue believing in the nation’s progress.
Shettima highlighted Nigeria’s growing economic indicators, including foreign reserves crossing the $40 billion mark, strong subnational revenues, and unprecedented infrastructural investments. He stressed the value of Diaspora Nigerians in contributing to national development and pledged further engagement to harness their expertise.
Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, noted improvements under the Tinubu administration, including easier access to passports, operational non-resident BVNs, and expanded investment opportunities. Nigerians at the meeting expressed readiness to invest in sectors such as mining, healthcare, artificial intelligence, fintech, creative industries, and agriculture, praising the government’s efforts to ease doing business.
