
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of four new members to the Governing Council of the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB), filling existing vacancies and reinforcing the board’s leadership.The newly appointed members are:Mr. Olusegun Omosehin – Representative of the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM)Engr. Wole Ogunsanya – Representative of the Petroleum Technology Association of Nigeria (PETAN)Mazi Sam Azoka Onyechi – Representative of the Nigerian Content Consultative Forum (NCCF)Barrister Owei Oyanbo – Representative from the Ministry of Petroleum ResourcesThese appointments follow the departure of previous institutional representatives from the council.The NCDMB Governing Council, established under the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act, 2010, plays a crucial role in driving local content policies within Nigeria’s oil and gas sector. It consists of representatives from key institutions, including the Ministry of Petroleum Resources, Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), PETAN, the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN), NCCF, and NAICOM.President Tinubu has urged the newly appointed members to bring their expertise and commitment to further enhance local content development in the country’s oil and gas industry.
