President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointments of Hon. Chisom D. Obih and Prof. Ralph Akinfeleye to serve on the governing councils of two federal universities. Hon. Obih will join the Governing Council of Alex Ekwueme Federal University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State, while Prof. Akinfeleye will serve on the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun State.

In a related development, the President has announced the appointment of key officers for the newly established Federal University of Health Sciences and Technology, Tsafe, Zamfara State. Professor Ibrahim Adamu Yakasai has been named Vice Chancellor, with Mr. Hamisu Yusuf Yelwa appointed as Registrar, Usman Nakazalle Sanusi as Bursar, and Dr. Shehu Aminu Liman as Librarian.

These appointments underscore President Tinubu’s commitment to strengthening leadership and governance in Nigeria’s higher education sector, while advancing the development of specialised institutions to meet the nation’s academic and professional needs.
