President Tinubu Approves Redeployment of 16 Permanent Secretaries

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the redeployment of sixteen serving Permanent Secretaries across various federal ministries and offices.

A statement signed by the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walsan-Jack, listed the affected officials and their new assignments. Notable redeployments include Engr. Funsho Adebiyi moving from Works to Transportation, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar Kana from Aviation and Aerospace Development to the General Services Office, and Dr. Yakubu Adam Kofarmata from Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction to Aviation and Aerospace Development.

Other redeployments include Mrs. Nko Asanye Esuabana to Women Affairs, Mr. Richard Pheelanmil Pheelanmilo Pheelangwa to Defence, Mr. Raymond Omenka Omachi to Finance, and Dr. Deborah Oyindamola Odoh to Budget and Economic Planning. Several others were also reassigned across ministries such as Youth Development, Petroleum Resources, Innovation, Science & Technology, Water Resources and Sanitation, Communications Innovation & Digital Economy, Marine and Blue Economy, and more.

The redeployments take effect from Wednesday, 19th November 2025, with the handing over and taking over processes required to be completed on or before Wednesday, 26th November 2025.
