
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm felicitations to Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), on the occasion of her birthday celebrated on October 11.
The President praised the accomplished public servant for her decades of dedication to national service, beginning with her career as a broadcaster with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) before being elected to the House of Representatives in 2003, where she served three consecutive terms. During her time in parliament, she chaired both the House Committee on Media and Publicity and the House Committee on Diaspora Affairs.
President Tinubu commended Mrs. Dabiri-Erewa’s passion, foresight, and commitment to the welfare of Nigerians, noting her tireless advocacy for citizens both at home and abroad. He highlighted her outstanding leadership at NIDCOM and her efforts in fostering Diaspora engagement to drive national development in key sectors such as education, health, and sports.
The President described Hon. Dabiri-Erewa as a symbol of compassion and patriotism, whose contributions have strengthened Nigeria’s global image and deepened the connection between the country and its citizens across the world.
