President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has pledged to complete the permanent site of the National Defence College in Piwoyi, Abuja, to strengthen Nigeria’s strategic military training. The announcement was made during the graduation of 99 participants from NDC Course 33, including senior officers from Nigeria and 19 allied countries.
The President highlighted plans to upgrade the college into a Defence Postgraduate University and instructed the NDC Commandant to collaborate with the Defence Ministry to fast-track development. He also emphasized the importance of indigenous manufacturing to support national security and implement recommendations from the NDC’s Presidential Treatise.
The initiative reflects the Tinubu administration’s commitment to enhancing military training, boosting Nigeria’s security capabilities, and promoting self-reliance in defence.
