President Tinubu Condoles with Ayoola Family Over Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola’s Passing

Bola Tinubu has expressed deep condolences to the Ayoola family of Ilesha, Osun State, following the death of Justice Emmanuel Olayinka Ayoola, CON, a distinguished former Supreme Court Justice and Chairman of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

Justice Ayoola, who passed away recently, was a towering figure in Nigeria’s judiciary. His illustrious career spanned multiple countries, beginning with his service as Justice of the Court of Appeal of the Gambia from 1980 to 1983. He went on to serve as the Chief Justice of the Gambia from 1983 to 1992 and later became the President of the Court of Appeals of Seychelles. In Nigeria, he was appointed Justice of the Court of Appeal from 1992 to 1998 before his elevation to the Supreme Court.

In his tribute, President Tinubu mourned the loss of the esteemed jurist but also celebrated his unwavering dedication to the service of the nation. The President highlighted Justice Ayoola’s renowned integrity and courage, which guided his decisions in the pursuit of justice throughout his career.

President Tinubu extended his condolences to the associates of the late jurist and members of Nigeria’s judicial society, acknowledging the profound impact of Justice Ayoola’s principles, discipline, and brilliance on the nation’s legal landscape.

The President concluded his statement by praying for the peaceful repose of Justice Ayoola’s soul and for comfort to his grieving family during this difficult time.
