President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji on his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State following Saturday’s party primary election.

The President commended the Osun APC for the unity and spirit of reconciliation that characterised the primary, which was conducted through affirmation. He also praised all aspirants who stepped down in favour of Oyebamiji, highlighting their demonstration of party loyalty and commitment to APC’s ideals.

President Tinubu urged Oyebamiji to embrace inclusivity by engaging all party leaders and former aspirants, ensuring cohesion as the party prepares for the 2026 governorship election. “The journey to reclaim Osun State for the progressive fold has begun,” the President said, calling on APC members in the state to remain united and focused.

The primary election, chaired by Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo in Osogbo, saw party delegates unanimously affirm Oyebamiji as the APC candidate for the upcoming polls.
