President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, on his 80th birthday and 35th coronation anniversary.

In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, President Tinubu lauded the Ewi’s enduring legacies of integrity, humility, and dignity, which have distinguished him as one of Nigeria’s foremost traditional rulers.

President Tinubu also commended the Ewi’s exceptional leadership and dedication to preserving the cultural heritage, fostering unity, and promoting the development of Ado Ekiti and Ekiti State.

According to the President, “His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III CON, JP, is a notable traditional ruler in Yorubaland, the country, and beyond. The majesty and significance of his throne are matched by the strength of his character, courage, and dignified presence, as well as the reverence in which he is held.”

President Tinubu congratulated the royal father on these dual milestones and expressed appreciation for his “love, kindness, and support over the years.”

“As Kabiyesi celebrates these milestones across five days, culminating in his 80th birthday on Sunday, November 23, 2025, I pray that Almighty God will grant him renewed grace, increased strength, and more years on the throne,” the statement added.
