President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), on her election as Vice President of the Airports Council International (ACI) Africa. Her election was ratified during the 34th ACI Africa General Assembly held in Lusaka, Zambia, from September 13, 2025.

The President commended FAAN’s leadership and commitment under Mrs Kuku, noting that the agency’s efforts in ensuring safe, efficient, and globally competitive air transport have continued to attract international recognition. He recalled her previous service as Regional Advisor for Africa and her role as a permanent member of the ACI World Governing Board.

Founded in 1991, ACI is the global trade representative of airports worldwide, with more than 2,000 airports across over 170 countries and territories under its network. It develops standards, policies, and best practices for the aviation industry.
