President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Dr Zacch Adedeji, Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), on his birthday.
In a statement, President Tinubu commended Adedeji’s exemplary leadership of the 83-year-old revenue agency, highlighting his introduction of fresh ideas, adoption of global best practices, automation of systems, and upskilling of staff for the nation’s benefit.
“I salute the NRS Chairman for his visionary and charismatic dedication in restructuring, aligning, and managing the country’s revenue profile,” the President said.
He noted that Adedeji achieved a historic milestone by meeting budget targets in the third quarter of 2025 and stimulating economic growth. President Tinubu also praised his role in implementing the National Single Window, a federal digital platform that streamlines import and export processes, enhances transparency, and reduces cargo clearance from 21 days to one week.
Dr Adedeji has previously served as a senior member of Procter & Gamble’s management team, Commissioner of Finance for Oyo State, and Executive Secretary of the National Sugar Development Council, where he established the National Sugar Institute. He also served as Special Adviser to the President on Revenue before his appointment as FIRS Chairman in September 2023.
The President prayed that Almighty God would grant Dr Adedeji many more years of good health, wisdom, and strength to continue serving the nation.
