President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has earned commendation for sustaining and expanding the reform legacy of his predecessor, former President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking in Abuja at the public presentation of the book “According to the President: Lessons from a Presidential Spokesman’s Experience” authored by Mallam Garba Shehu, former Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, President Tinubu was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume. He paid glowing tribute to the former leader’s values and legacy.

According to President Tinubu, former President Buhari’s leadership was built on pillars of integrity, accountability, prudence and patriotism, qualities that laid a solid foundation for the ongoing reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“President Muhammadu Buhari governed with a deep sense of responsibility and devotion to the country. His legacy is one of courage, simplicity and unwavering dedication to national service. We are building on that,” Tinubu said through his representative.

The event served as both a reflection on the past and an endorsement of the continuity in governance, with President Tinubu positioning his administration as a custodian of the gains of Buhari’s years while pushing further with bold reforms across security, the economy, digital governance and institutional accountability.
