
President Bola Tinubu accepted President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo’s invitation and left Abuja for a three-day official visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.
Among those bidding the president farewell at departure were Femi Gbajabiamila, the president’s chief of staff, and AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, the chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum and the governor of Kwara state.
According to a previous statement made by the president’s advisor for media and publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu will meet the President of Equatorial Guinea at the Presidential Villa upon arrival. During their meetings, the two leaders will sign agreements, mostly pertaining to security and oil and gas.
Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and other members of his cabinet are traveling with the President, and they will be signing agreements and looking into ways to strengthen bilateral relations.
