
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has departed Nigeria for an official engagement in France. At the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, he was seen off by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, the Chief of Staff, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Governors Hope Uzodimma and Babajide Sanwo-Olu, as well as key members of the Federal Executive Council including the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr. Wale Edun, and the Minister of Budget and National Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu, among others.
The President’s visit to France comes at a time Nigeria is deepening its economic diplomacy and pursuing stronger bilateral partnerships with global powers. France remains a key development and trade partner to Nigeria, especially in areas such as energy, infrastructure, security, and investment flows.
This trip is expected to further consolidate Nigeria’s international engagements under the Renewed Hope Agenda, with emphasis on attracting foreign direct investment and advancing strategic cooperation that will impact the economy back home.
