President Tinubu Expresses Deep Grief Over Nationwide Flood Devastation, Vows Continued Support and Action

President Bola Tinubu has expressed profound grief over the widespread devastation caused by recent floods affecting communities and farmlands across Nigeria. The floods have led to significant loss of life, displaced thousands, and destroyed vast swathes of farmland, according to recent data from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

In his statement, President Tinubu extended his heartfelt sympathy to all those affected by the floods, including bereaved families, farmers who have lost their livelihoods, displaced communities, and individuals who have lost their homes and property. He emphasized the importance of building a more climate-resilient and adaptive society, highlighting the need for a concerted effort to address the environmental challenges Nigeria faces.

The President also offered prayers for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives due to the floods. He assured Nigerians that his administration, working through relevant agencies, will continue to provide necessary support for the victims and will issue timely warnings to mitigate the impact of such natural disasters in the future.
