
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has applauded Interface Africa for winning the 2025 NextGen Innovation Challenge, describing the feat as a shining example of Nigerian innovation and resilience.
Led by Al’amin Muhammed Idris, Interface Africa represented Kaduna at the competition and won a £1.5 million cash prize at the grand finale held at the Hilton London Paddington. The Challenge, organised by the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) in partnership with UKALD London, was designed to inspire groundbreaking ideas that solve real-world problems.
President Tinubu said the victory aligns with his administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises innovation, youth empowerment, and sustainable development. He commended Interface Africa for its creative solution in providing affordable solar financing for small businesses across Africa and urged other young innovators to emulate their dedication and drive.
The President reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Nigerian youths through targeted programmes and policies that nurture creativity, boost entrepreneurship, and position the country as a hub for innovation on the African continent.
