President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on his re-election as Governor of Anambra State, describing the victory as a testament to his visionary and disciplined leadership.

In a statement issued on Sunday, President Tinubu said Soludo’s overwhelming victory at the polls reflected the trust and confidence the people of Anambra have in his administration.

“Professor Soludo’s re-election is a testament to his visionary leadership and the significant progress the state has made under his guidance,” the President said.

He also commended the people of Anambra State, security agencies, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for ensuring a peaceful and credible election. Tinubu particularly praised the new INEC Chairman, Professor Joash Amupitan, for conducting what observers described as a transparent and credible poll.

The President recalled his visit to Anambra in May, where he inaugurated several projects executed by the Soludo administration. He said the experience was “remarkable and indelible,” adding that Soludo had demonstrated that academic excellence and governance discipline can coexist effectively.

“I commend Governor Soludo for bringing discipline, grace, brilliance, and a fresh perspective to governance in Anambra. Under him, the state is truly living up to its motto as the Light of the Nation,” President Tinubu stated.

He urged Soludo to be magnanimous in victory, extend a hand of cooperation to his opponents, and continue collaborating with the Federal Government for the greater good of Anambra State.

Tinubu further noted that Soludo’s victory on the platform of the All Grand Progressives Alliance (APGA) reaffirmed the strength and competitiveness of Nigeria’s democratic system.

“The victory of the opposition All Grand Progressives Alliance in the election again demonstrates the vitality of our political system and the fact that victory for any progressive and hardworking leader can hardly be encumbered or denied,” the President said.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his unwavering support for Governor Soludo and expressed optimism about continued collaboration between Anambra State and the Federal Government.
