President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has inaugurated a Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution and Mobilisation to address internal disputes within the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the party prepares for the 2027 general elections.

The committee is chaired by Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni, with Muiz Banire as Member/Secretary, and includes several governors, ministers, and senior party leaders such as Senator Adamu Aliero, Governors Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq, Hope Uzodimma, Uba Sani, Siminalayi Fubara, and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.

At the inauguration, Buni emphasised that the committee would carry out its mandate responsibly, developing an all-encompassing, results-oriented strategy and ensuring aggrieved members feel included and valued. He also highlighted the need for proactive conflict resolution and collective decision-making.

President Tinubu, who had previously stressed unity during the APC’s 15th National Executive Committee meeting, reiterated that the party must uphold its ideals of tolerance, broad-based participation, and respect for diversity of opinion to remain resilient and effective.
