President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved a major increase in the budget for the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), raising it from N3 billion to N20 billion. The increase aims to modernise the bureau’s asset declaration system and enhance its capacity to enforce compliance among public officials.

The additional funds will be used to upgrade technology, strengthen monitoring systems, and improve staff training, ensuring more efficient and transparent operations. This initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to promote accountability and fight corruption at all levels.

By investing in the CCB, the administration seeks to create a robust framework for tracking public officials’ assets and enforcing ethical standards, reinforcing public confidence in governance and institutional integrity.
