President Tinubu Mourns Chief Audu Ogbeh, Hails Patriotism and Lasting Legacy

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and elder statesman, Chief Audu Ogbeh, who died at the age of 78.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Chief Ogbeh as a patriot of rare intellect, unwavering integrity, and enduring dedication to the nation. He noted that Ogbeh’s contributions to Nigeria’s political development were profound, spanning decades of public service in various capacities, including as Minister and party leader.

President Tinubu commended the late statesman for his intellectual depth, policy insight, and readiness to support his propositions with facts and figures. He said Ogbeh’s principled stance and visionary ideas helped shape important national policies and left an indelible mark on Nigeria’s democratic journey.

The President condoled with the family of the deceased, the government, and the people of Benue State, praying for God’s comfort for those he left behind. He added that the passing of Chief Ogbeh represents the loss of a leader whose patriotism, wisdom, and devotion to national progress will be remembered for generations.
