President Tinubu Mourns Renowned Petrochemical Engineer PA Olusanya David Sotinrin

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid tribute to PA Olusanya David Sotinrin, a distinguished petrochemical engineer and oil and gas expert, as well as the father of Ayo Sotinrin, CEO of the Bank of Agriculture. President Tinubu described the late PA Sotinrin as one of the “silent pillars” of Nigeria’s energy development, whose expertise, discipline, and integrity significantly shaped the country’s oil and gas sector.

Highlighting PA Sotinrin’s decades of service, the President noted that his contributions helped set industry standards, strengthen local capacity, and inspire a generation of engineers who continue to benefit from his mentorship and pioneering work. He praised PA Sotinrin’s brilliance, humility, professionalism, and dedication to excellence, describing him as a rare talent who served his profession as a calling to the nation.
