President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains focused on delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda and will not be distracted by the noise and political maneuvering of opposition figures ahead of the 2027 general elections, Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has said.
Speaking to journalists in Abuja, the minister noted that despite the growing speculations surrounding the formation of new opposition coalitions, President Tinubu is unwavering in his commitment to fulfilling his mandate and transforming Nigeria.
“President Tinubu is not distracted by threats or political realignments. He is laser-focused on improving the economy, strengthening national security, and delivering critical reforms that benefit the Nigerian people,” Idris said.
He highlighted key gains under the Tinubu administration, including stabilization of the naira, a marked reduction in crude oil theft, ongoing reforms in the tax system, the reintroduction of a functional student loan scheme, and the rollout of the national consumer credit initiative.
Idris also emphasized that President Tinubu’s approach to governance prioritizes results over political rhetoric. “The administration will not be drawn into distractions engineered by political actors trying to derail the progress being made. Governance is about service, not noise,” he added.
As the political atmosphere begins to heat up ahead of 2027, the Federal Government insists that its focus will remain on delivering on its promises, rather than engaging in premature electioneering.
