President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, has officially opened the 2025 All Nigerian Judges’ Conference of the Superior Courts at the Andrews Otutu Obaseki Auditorium, National Judicial Institute, Abuja. Addressing the gathering, the President commended the Judiciary for its role in safeguarding democracy, upholding the Constitution, and protecting the rights and liberties of every Nigerian.

President Tinubu highlighted the theme of this year’s conference, “Building a Confident Judiciary,” stressing that public confidence is the true measure of justice. While acknowledging concerns over delays, access to justice, and integrity in some quarters, he reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Judiciary in fulfilling its constitutional mandate.

The President emphasized that a strong, efficient, and independent Judiciary is essential for national stability and development. He announced plans to provide tangible support, including improved working conditions, modern infrastructure, and digital court systems to ensure timely and transparent delivery of justice. President Tinubu also pledged continued support for judicial training and professional development through the National Judicial Institute.

“Justice must never be for sale, and the Bench must never become a sanctuary for compromise. Corruption in the Judiciary destroys the nation at its core,” President Tinubu said. He urged judges to be bold, practical, and action-oriented in addressing challenges such as case backlogs, disciplinary issues, and access to justice for all citizens.

Concluding his address, President Tinubu declared the conference open, praying for fruitful deliberations and transformative resolutions, and reaffirming that the Judiciary should continue to stand as the conscience of the nation and guardian of democracy.
