President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to advancing Africa’s economic integration through stronger trade, industrial expansion, and strategic investment mobilisation. Speaking at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) 2025 in Algiers, the President highlighted Nigeria’s role in driving the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) by reducing barriers, boosting intra-African commerce, and positioning local industries for global competitiveness.
The President emphasized that Nigeria’s economic reforms are laying the groundwork for a more enabling business environment that supports both large corporations and small enterprises. He noted that through partnerships with key institutions and stakeholders, Nigeria is focused on unlocking new opportunities in manufacturing, innovation, and cross-border trade.
Tinubu stressed that Nigeria is not only positioning itself as a hub for value-added production but also as a key driver of Africa’s collective growth agenda. He assured investors that the government will continue to pursue policies that foster inclusivity, stability, and sustainable economic development across the continent.
