President Bola Ahmed Tinubu began the new year with a historic visit to Enugu State, where he inaugurated several projects executed by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration. The president lauded the governor’s leadership, describing it as exemplary and transformative.

In his address, President Tinubu commended the strides made in infrastructure, security, education, and healthcare under Governor Mbah’s tenure. He emphasized that such achievements underscore the impact of visionary leadership in advancing state development.

The president also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing the Eastern rail line, which will connect Port Harcourt to Maiduguri, a project vital to enhancing regional connectivity and economic growth. Additionally, he pledged federal support for the development of the oil and gas-rich Anambra Basin, a move expected to boost energy production and investment in the South East.
President Tinubu expressed gratitude to the government and people of Enugu for their warm hospitality, calling for unity and collaboration among Nigerians. “We are members of one family held by a single umbilical cord; hence, we must work together to develop the Nigeria we desire,” he stated.
