Under his directive, the Federal Government has finalized a coordinated evacuation plan with the support of the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, key diplomatic figures including the Charge d’Affaires of the Nigerian Embassy in Iran, Abdulrasheed Lawal, and Levon Petrosyan, Acting Director of the Middle East and Africa Division in Armenia, have been instrumental in facilitating a safe passage request for stranded Nigerians.
This collaborative effort reflects President Tinubu’s commitment to protecting Nigerian lives globally and underscores the value of humanitarian diplomacy. Armenia’s willingness to assist in this critical operation is a testament to international solidarity in times of crisis.
