In fulfilment of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s commitment to supporting Nigerians affected by natural disasters, the Federal Government, through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), has distributed relief materials to victims of the 2025 floods in Akwa Ibom State.
The relief items, which include food supplies, building materials, and essential household goods, are part of ongoing efforts under the Renewed Hope Agenda to provide immediate assistance to communities impacted by flooding and other emergencies.
Speaking during the flag-off of the distribution, NEMA officials noted that President Tinubu directed the agency to ensure that affected Nigerians receive timely and adequate support as part of his administration’s broader humanitarian response plan.
They emphasized that the President’s focus on citizen welfare, disaster preparedness, and resilience-building remains a cornerstone of his leadership, ensuring that no community is left behind in times of crisis.
Community leaders and beneficiaries in Akwa Ibom expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for his compassion and swift intervention, describing the relief effort as a lifeline for families working to rebuild their lives.
