President Tinubu Reaffirms Diplomatic Ties with U.S. and UAE, Urges Nigerians to Respect Host Country Immigration Laws

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening longstanding diplomatic relations with the Governments of the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates. He emphasized that under his leadership, Nigeria will continue to prioritise strategic partnerships that promote mutual interests in areas such as economic cooperation, security, and innovation.

The President noted that Nigeria’s foreign policy direction remains focused on mutual respect, shared growth, and reinforcing Nigeria’s role as a responsible and respected member of the international community. He described the country’s partnerships with the U.S. and UAE as vital to its global aspirations and national development agenda.

In addition, President Tinubu urged Nigerians living abroad to respect the immigration laws of their host countries. He highlighted that the conduct of citizens abroad reflects directly on the nation’s image, and called on all Nigerians to act as responsible ambassadors by complying fully with local laws and regulations.
