President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the recall of Mr. Salihu Abdullahi Dembos as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Dembos, who was first appointed in October 2023, will now return to complete his three-year tenure.
The President also ordered the reinstatement of Mr. Ayo Adewuyi as Executive Director of News. Adewuyi, appointed in 2024, is to continue in his role until the end of his tenure in 2027.
This directive effectively sets aside earlier announced appointments of a new director-general, executive director of news, executive director of marketing, and managing director of NTA Enterprises, ensuring continuity of leadership within the broadcasting agency.
