President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has rescinded the appointment of Oluwa Somefun as Managing Director of the National Hydro-Electric Power Producing Areas Development Commission (HYPPADEC). In his place, Abubakar Sadiq Yelwa, FNCA (Katukan Yawuri), has been officially reinstated as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the commission.

This decision reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring effective leadership and continuity in managing critical development initiatives in Nigeria’s hydro-electric power producing areas.
