President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Dr. Jackson Gaius-Obaseki on his 80th birthday, celebrating his decades of service and outstanding contributions to Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.

Dr. Gaius-Obaseki began his career as a geologist with the Nigerian National Oil Company (later NNPC), rising to become the first manager of the National Reserve Evaluation Project. He later served as Managing Director of the Nigerian Gas Company, Group General Manager of Crude Oil Marketing, and in 1999, became Group Managing Director of NNPC, where he implemented transformative reforms in the industry.

President Tinubu praised his brilliance, dedication, and patriotism, noting that his legacy continues to inspire the oil and gas sector. He wished Dr. Gaius-Obaseki continued health, strength, and many more years of service to the nation.
