President Tinubu Secures €20 Million Energy Deal With Germany To Drive Nigeria’s Renewable Transition

The Federal Government of Nigeria, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has signed a €20 million agreement with the Government of Germany to support the country’s energy transition and renewable energy development. The deal aims to accelerate Nigeria’s shift toward cleaner, more sustainable power sources, in line with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

The agreement will facilitate investment in solar, wind, and other renewable technologies, as well as technical assistance and capacity-building to enhance local expertise in the energy sector. German partners emphasized their commitment to supporting Nigeria’s ambition for energy security, economic diversification, and climate resilience.

This partnership is a key milestone in President Tinubu’s efforts to modernize Nigeria’s energy infrastructure and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. The administration views clean energy as central to job creation, industrial growth, and a more inclusive economic future.
