
In honour of the late elder statesman and renowned philanthropist, Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has dispatched a high-level delegation to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia ahead of the funeral rites scheduled for later on Monday.
The delegation is led by the Minister of Defence and former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar. Other key members include the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN; the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris; and the Minister of State for Housing Development, Honourable Yusuf Abdullahi Ata.
Also part of the delegation are respected Islamic scholars such as Dr. Bashir Aliyu Umar, Sheikh Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa, and Khalifa Abdullahi Muhammad, who serves as the Imam of the Dantata Mosque in Abuja.
The delegation is working closely with the Nigerian Consulate General in Jeddah, led by Ambassador Muazzam Ibrahim Nayaya, who is overseeing preparations for the funeral.
