


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday inaugurated and swore in the new Chairman and Commissioners of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The ceremony formally marked the commencement of their tenure and highlighted the administration’s commitment to promoting equity and representation across Nigeria’s public institutions.
During the event, the President congratulated the new Chairman, Hulayat Omidiran, and the other Commissioners, urging them to uphold the principles of fairness, inclusiveness, and accountability in the execution of their duties. He emphasised that the FCC plays a crucial role in ensuring balanced federal appointments and equitable distribution of resources among Nigeria’s diverse states and communities.
